There is a major distinction between those who have succeeded in overcame anxiety, and the ones who fail. The people who truly recover from stress are eager learners and those who fail to overcome it are reluctant students.
You could either be an unmotivated student and try for a long time to eliminate, be able to overcome, and resist anxiety and continue to suffer. Or , you can be an eager student, embrace anxiety and take lessons from it, improve from it, and conquer it. It’s your choice. You decide.
Unwilling students are people who aren’t willing to grow and learn from anxiety. They are committed to fight anxiety. They view anxiety as an attack and resist it with a ferocious determination. They are too determined to eliminate and defeat anxiety. They waste their time and hard-earned cash searching for treatment. Students who are not willing to accept treatment are more eager to heal. They create timetables for their recovery. They state “I have to recover on such and such a date”. Let me be real with you. This is the recipe that can lead to disaster. I’ve been there. I’ve tried it. It was not successful. It only brought me additional suffering and pain.
Willing students are able to recognize that anxiety can be a chance to learn. Students who are willing to accept that it’s through learning and growing that you can overcome anxiety. There is no reason to be doing anything else other than to learn and grow from it. There is no reason to be averse to any thing. There is no reason to put everything in order. There is no requirement to discuss every single symptom you are experiencing. Your personal willingness to accept anxiety and to learn from it and improve by learning from it is the first step to recovery.
You must change from an indifferent student to becoming being a willing student. The symptoms you experience will be present for a while when you’re making this change. That’s OK. Your symptoms have developed over time, and it may take a while for them to fade away. There is no need to be concerned about your symptoms as they’re not the root of the issue. Your symptoms are just a sign of the root of the issuethe inability to grow and learn.
You are the cause. The symptoms you experience come and go based on the way you respond to anxiety. Get over it and begin to grow into yourself. Recovery is a process and you are able to enjoy the process if you’re an active student. You don’t have to put off your life for a while. The more you try to resist or fight to ease worrying, you will feel more you’ll be feeling in the end, and more depressed you’re likely to feel.
The more you struggle your anxiety, the more you are caught up in the stress. The more you fight, the more ensconced the anxiety gets. If you are able to embrace your fear and go over it with ease, it looses force and dissolves. Your ability to sit still and be present with it makes all the difference. When you are an enthusiastic student, you will no longer become an anxious person.
