How Human Body Is Affected By Environment Changes

With the rise of chemicals in the environment, people are faced with innumerable health problems today. These problems can be something small such as a skin irritation that can go off with cream, else to something as severe as lung disease or worse. Why? The primary reason behind this is that we have adopted new practice and techniques in manufacturing and lifestyle that does not blend with natural surroundings. Instead it harms the environment, which brings about body reactions. It is vital to examine such reactions so that you understand how they trigger reactions in the body that are harmful and stressful.

How Can Pollution Affect The Environment?

Out of the many problems that people are facing today in the environment, a key one is air pollution, which when polluted causes immense health problems and all kinds of hazards. Air when polluted contains dust, smoke, soot, nitrogen, sculpture-di-oxide and carbon-di-oxide.  Virtually life ceases to exist in a place where the air is bad in quality and anyone who strives to live in such badly polluted areas are affected by numerous diseases. Due to air pollution the numerous heath problems that arise are cancers, eye irritations breathing difficulties and so on.

Hazardous gases when let into the environment causes global warming which in turn results in the air becoming and a hole coming into the ozone layer which brings direct harmful ultra violet rays into the earth’s environment. This can cause various types of diseases such as skin cancer, asthma, cataracts etc. There is the problem if acid rain, rains that do not come as expected resulting in drought and excessive rain which disrupts normal life as well as  crop growth.

Another aspect where pollution is affecting life is when it inflects water. Contamination occurs when detergents are used when washing in water sources else chemical waste is dumped into it or when pesticides enter into ground water. When it enters various water bodies such as rivers, ponds, lakes etc, which are used for bathing, cooking etc, what happens is the spread of water borne diseases such as choleras, diarrhea etc.  Life in the water such as fishes, various amphibians and of source large marine animals becomes affected. When such animals are caught for food, the contaminants which affected them bring harm to human life. Large spread water contamination affects a vast number of people causing huge medical problems, some of which can be treated while others cannot.

Soil pollution has lead to so many acres of land become unusable and a lot of treatment has to be given to the soil for it to show the right responses when crop is grown.  Dumping waste into it, mining, deforestation are activities which cause this problem.

Today the number of vector borne is one the rise. Look at the amount of problems that is spreading due to bacteria, virus and other deadly microorganisms for which there is no cure. In case of those that do have treatment, the process  take a toll on the body and people who undergo such health problems find it very difficult to get out of them till extreme treatments are given.


What Can Be Done About The Negative Effects Of Environmental Pollution?

Are we able to really cope with the alarming health problems that have arisen due to pollution? Really not. We find the situation very difficult to deal with. While at one hand the medical field is making deep strides by bringing up new and improved drugs which can save life, likewise problems affecting the human body have arisen due to environment pollution. No matter what cure is proposed by modern medicine, still the fact remains that it offers a one-third of a solution as the real problem is on the outside, due to the environment.

What is required is a radical change in the way we treat the environment and what is put into it. Steps should be taken to curb dumping of waste material of various types, which is causing such a huge number of health issues. It is better to adopt traditional ways of doing things as they did not affect the environment in such a negative way. Wherever applicable such methods should be used as seen today in organic farming or use of natural detergents etc. It is vital that science and technology come up with solutions that propose alternatives to products that cause chemical release into the environment.
